Jeremy Davies: Paul
Set in Paris in 1969 a young
American film editor named Paul is working on a sci-fi futuristic
action movie. The director is fired by the producer and Paul is
subsequently hired as the director. In addition to feeling the
pressures of having to direct his first film, Paul begins to grow
distant from his live-in girlfriend Marlene. He soon begins to lust
after the beautiful lead actress in his film. Paul also films himself
on a daily basis hoping to discover things about himself - he sits on
the toilet in his bathroom and talks to the camera, a routine which
begins to grate on Marlene's nerves. Jeremy Davies is excellent as the
soft spoken yet passionate Paul.
